CNN has been great with their extensive coverage of the events, but some of the people they bring on for "analysis" seem quite ill-informed or even disingenuous.

Below is a text of the petition. If you agree with the content, please click here to sign it.

"To: CNN

We write you to protest the poor quality of guest analysts in your coverage of the recent events in Iran.

Individuals such as Reva Bhalla and Kaveh Afrasiabi consistently present themselves as biased, subjective and poorly informed, undermining the high standard of journalism we have come to expect from CNN.

Whether it’s dismissing the unpopularity of the regime, downplaying the horrific nature of the government’s crackdown, or branding the demonstrators as representatives of a limited social cross-section, many of the views put forth by these guests are misleading and contrary to evidence.

It would be a service to both CNN and the voiceless people of Iran if care were taken to incorporate more…

Brainstorm: one possible way for protesters to get the upper hand would be to jam the radio communications of the Basij, IRG, and whatever other security apparatus is present.

This could make a HUGE difference in how things go from here on out. Without the ability to coordinate and communicate, their operations would be seriously hindered.

Jammers would have to be placed in strategic locations (such as rooftops) and then abandoned, as they would be easy for the authorities to locate. You would not want to be transmitting from anyplace that could be traced back to anyone.

Perhaps people here can research frequencies that are used by Iran’s security forces and try to find plans for a home-made jammer that can be easily put together, and report back here. This information must be on the web - just needs to be found and compiled. I know in the US it is trivial to obtain communications frequencies of police and government agencies. I’m sure there are protesters that are…

To the moderators

We know you probably will not turn over the IPs to the clerics.

What about if YOUR government shows up with warrants demanding the IPs? What then? Will you turn over the logs?

If we know for sure that some of his sites are hacked and giving out false information, can we get a group of skilled people to hack it back, or at least take it down.
If his facebook page has been taken over, can we get facebook to cancel the account?
We need to put a stop to all the false information being spread, this whole movement is dependent on accurate communication.

The Regime Internet filters ARE causing problems,
not related to band width.

Dosing the propaganda sites hurts the Regime.
Cuts their Info war effort and command and control.

Any way its up to the Resistance what they want done.
The some of Regimes main sites are down, have been for
two or 3 days.

Look at the proofs:
Current Band width usage HERE
About 5 Gbps, it can handle 12 Gbps.

How Iran’s filters work:

That is what is making the problems for the resistance.

MOIS is working hard to promote the myth dos will hurt the
demonstrators ability to communicate and some hysterical blogs
have picked it up.

AS cyber warefare the resistance might want to bring down Iran’s
Internet. Why, read below how that would work as a weapon.

Its up to the Iranian people.

But dos attacks on propaganda sites do not…
