It is commonly thought that the person responsible for the rigged election is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, or that perhaps Ayatullah Khamenei is directly responsible for the rigged election.

The truth is that, although those 2 men are leaders of Iran’s theocratic dictatorship, neither of them is the one that is most directly responsible for rigging the election. Much like in the movie ‘The Wizard Of Oz’, there is a man behind a curtain that is pulling the strings, a man who is not in the media spotlight.

This man is Ayatullah Ahmad Jannati, the leader of Iran’s 12-person guardian council. It is the guardian council that hand-picks people to run the elections, and thus it is the guardian council that has orchestrated this fraudulent election, as well as the fraudulent runoff election in 2005. I saw the thread about berdagh.ir (sp?) being hosted out of southern California, and when a forum member approached the hosting company about the website, which was soliciting information to try and hunt down protestors, the hosting company immediately revoked the space for said website. This struck me as an excellent way to do a "wetware" DDoS, much more effective than clogging bandwidth, and also more politically powerful.

I would like to present a list of webhosting companies in protestor-friendly countries to groups such as AI so that public pressure can be used to shut these sites down on the hosting level. Does anybody have this information?

I heard about a movement about using websites in your home country to protest against Iranian government censoring.

They said since the Iranian government has stepped up censoring internet content coming in, that if your webpage has content about the protests in iran you will have made another website the Iranian authorities must block and monitor. Bottom line - the more people who do this the harder it will be for the regime to censor internet content.

Will doing this acutally work? No matter how small of effect it makes, I think it would be worthwhile since it is so easy to edit my webpages with links to iranian protests.

My question is will my webpage be blocked by the iranian government if I circle it around on websites like these?
