Late last night I received an email,

"Please be advised that we have received notification of the potential for protest activity at Freedom Plaza tomorrow (Friday, July 17th) at approximately 10:30 a.m. Although we have no definitive information at this time, we do want to plan accordingly in the event that activity escalates …. http://iran.whyweprotest.net/newsfee…ork-times.html
replace 17259 with 17242, 17233, 17228, 17221, 17212, 17201, 17194, 17185, 17178, 17171, or 17165
you get a duplicate
definitely something buggy
takes up 12 times the space, decreases signal-to-noise
divides conversation up 12 ways
etc. etc.
17265… yet another

that’s not the only story with mass duplicates either
that’s just an example
and even without exact duplicates there are many that are very similar and come from different news sources
not very useful

suggestion: scrap newsfeed
