Since Niteowl started helping Enduring America and focusing on other issues and Events, I have asked if I could begin publishing the Green Brief so that everyone on wwp would once again have a summary of the day’s news from Iran. I like Niteowl have gotten all of my information from reliable tweets and no information I could not confirm has been included in this brief. This one is rather short because it is my first one the rest will be longer.

Protests/unrest

1. Pro-government rallies took place in cities across Iran in protest of the recent reformist protests.

2. Greens are planning protests to counter the pro-government rallies that took place today.

3. The body of Seyyed Ali Mousavi, the nephew of Mir Hossein Mousavi was returned to the family for burial today. He was laid to rest in a closed funeral with no demonstrators or security forces present.

In 2009 I lost my beloved father, the youngest judge of his time, a man of integrity.

In 2009 the Green Movement came into being.

In 2009 in Kahrizak and Evin Iran’s children were tortured, raped and burtalized.

In 2009 Basij used clubs and bullets, fierd shots and killed the innocent.

In 2009 a little dictator showed his ugly face.

In 2009 a supreme leader turned into a dictator.

In 2009 phony trials took place.

In 2009 false confessions were made.

In 2009 a pious and respected man passed away.

Guardian reveals Peter Moore, who has been released after two years, was targeted because of his role in tracking international aid money that was being diverted to Iran-backed militias.

To watch the video and read the story is to leave now doubt that Iran’s Al Quds was behing this and other operations. They murdered several of their victims after an attack at Karbala was unsuccessful. As the video notes, operations of this sort–like many crimes inside the country–had to have Khamenei’s approval.

There is no doubt that Iran killed dozens of American soldiers in Iraq and that they’ve been involved in similar operations in Aghanistan. In Iraq, Khamenei could not afford a successul democracy with human rights which might cause Iranians to want the same. The Shiite militias Iran backed were much like the Basilj who terrorize Iran’s people today.

Is this a causus belli?

It is the good fortune of Iran’s people that they are ruled by God’s "hand-picked" representatives on earth. God loves the Islamic Repubic, no matter how brutal, corrupt, venal and thieving its leaders may be.

Does it matter if the educational system plummets, the economy goes belly up, human rights are totally forbidden and Iran’s Supreme Leaders have kept Iran from reaching its great potential for 30 years now? No!

As Khamenei observes, "the common people should not be bothered by temporal concerns like how long they must wait for a paycheck, whether they can pay next month’s rent or whether they have food on their tables These are distracting temporal concerns and reflect temptations encouraged by Satan."

Khamenei is right to point out what counts–life in the next world, not this one. He offers superb advice: The best way to guarantee a wonderful afterlife is to obey those chosen by God and question nothing.
